FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is this suitable for me?

You will need to be fit and have some walking experience. Some of the walks are longer than others and they are often off tracks and there are rocky scrambling sections. You will need a head for heights. There is a bypass track missing out the most technical sections. There are also steep descents and ascents. I will always try and accommodate everyone but if unsure please drop me an email.

What do I need to bring?

You will need walking clothes (not cotton or jeans!), some extra layers, waterproofs, hat and gloves. You'll want to bring some food/lunch which you can easily eat. Plus some water or a thermos of tea/coffee/hot ribena. You can see the recommended kit list here.

I'm coming from further afield, where can I stay nearby?

How do I get there?

There is almost no public transport this far north off the beaten track. If you are not driving you can get as far as Achnasheen by train or bus. A taxi will take you to your accommodation. Alternatively it may be possible to arrange to pick you up en route. If you are willing to offer a lift please let me know.
